In September’s Stories of Resurrection magazine, you read about the children and youth programming Carter will be leading. Carter began his ministry with us last week, and this week we welcomed Paige to our staff as Associate Director of Engagement. We are grateful for the energy and vision both bring to LCR. As Paige begins her ministry here, we are eager to share the meaningful ways she will help us grow together.
This Sunday, August 31, we will gather for one combined worship service at 10:00 a.m. Following worship, join us for a special reception to officially welcome Paige & Carter. It will be a chance to greet them, chat with them about the upcoming programming they are planning, and celebrate these new beginnings together.
I am Paige McCray, a native of Powder Springs, GA and currently live in Dallas, GA. I am married to my husband, Miles McCray, and I am a mother to Parker McCray (6 months) and my son Bryce McCray (8 years old).
My educational background includes a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration/Management and a Master of Science in Computer Science and Information Systems. I have a diverse professional background and experience in workforce development, human resources, program management, ministry administration, and more. I have a passion for connecting others to God’s gifts and calling for their lives. I believe that God has blessed me and uses me as a vessel to impact others through my own talents and gifts in tremendous ways.

My favorite scripture is “For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them” –Ephesians 2:8-9
God’s grace has been sufficient in every season I have endured and for mankind since the beginning of the creation of the earth. God’s love is so deep for us that He created grace, and it is such a beautiful feeling to know there is nothing we can do on earth that outshines or surpasses this gift He has given us. Grace has planted me in opportunities, mentioned my name in rooms, benefited my family, protected my loved ones, and blessed others in spaces where I simply did not have the credentials or deserve such blessings. Because of His grace for us everyday and for our salvation, I make sure to extend love and grace to others because I wouldn’t be the Follower of Christ, leader, wife, mother, and human I am today without it.
My name is Carter Crenshaw and I’m a proud graduate of the University of Tennessee (Go Vols!) and I bring a background in behavioral health and education. I’m also a longtime member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Marietta, where my faith was nurtured from a young age.
I believe in the power of connection, compassion, and community. When I’m not at church, you’ll usually find me spending time with my best friend, Rudy, a spunky miniature dachshund who brings so much joy to my life.
One verse that has carried me through both joyful and challenging seasons comes from Galatians “So let us not grow weary in doing good, for we will reap at harvest time, if we do not give up.” It reminds me that even when the work feels slow or unseen, staying faithful and steady matters. It speaks to the hope that good things will come in time if we continue showing up with love.
I’m excited to walk with you and your family as we grow in faith together!
