WORSHIP

For an added layer of community, we encourage those who are able, to join us as we live stream the services on YouTube- SUNDAYS AT 8:30 A.M.

Prior to the pandemic, Lutheran Church of the Resurrection offered two opportunities to worship as well as education offerings each Sunday. We are currently offering the same style of worship at our 8 am and 11 am In-Person Worship and 9:30 am Parking Lot Worship. Please refer to the home page to sign up for In-Person Worship.

Traditional Service- 8:30 am Sundays

Traditional Worship is based on our Lutheran heritage and incorporates a traditional liturgy with hymns led by the organ along with the Celebration Choir. The word is proclaimed through scripture readings, a children’s message, and a sermon presented by one of the pastors. We welcome all people to receive God’s gift of forgiveness and mercy through the nourishment of Holy Communion.  The body and blood of Christ is received through bread and wine each Sunday around the altar, usually at the kneeling rails.  Grape juice and gluten-free wafers are also available.

Praise Service- 11:00 am Sundays

Praise Worship reflects a more contemporary expression of the Lutheran liturgy, though music and message. The word is proclaimed through scripture readings, a children’s message, and a sermon presented by one of the pastors. Our Praise Team shares God’s word through music with a team of vocalists accompanied by guitars and drums. We welcome all people to receive God’s gift of forgiveness and mercy through the nourishment of Holy Communion.  The body and blood of Christ is received through bread and wine each Sunday by means of intinction.  Grape juice and gluten-free wafers are also available.
