Lutheran Church of the Resurrection is excited to invite you to our Reformation Day concert on Sunday, October 29, at 4:00 pm. The LCR Choir, joined by guest singers and instrumentalists, will perform Johann Sebastian Bach’s cantata no. 80, Ein’ feste Burg ist unser Gott (“A mighty fortress is our God”), which he composed for Reformation Sunday sometime between 1723 and 1735. Other pieces on the program include choral works by Felix Mendelssohn and Moses Hogan, works for handbell choir, and other instrumental pieces.
After the concert, you are also welcome to stay for an Oktoberfest Dinner immediately following the concert in the LCR Gathering Room. We will be serving bratwurst, sauerkraut, pretzels & more from a local German bakery!
