God’s Work. Our Hands. Sunday was established by the ELCA in 2013 as a churchwide opportunity to explore one of our most basic convictions as Lutherans: that all of life in Jesus Christ – every act of service, in every daily calling, in every corner of life — flows freely from a living, daring confidence in God’s grace.
The LCR Outreach teams will be coordinating a number of service activities both Saturday, September 6 and Sunday, September 7, and we invite you to participate!
Saturday – Group Opportunity
- Packing food bags (or similar activity) 10:00 am – 12:00 noon at the MUST Ministries Donation Center,
Contacts: Dana Jelinek, Heather Boyer
Sunday – Onsite Opportunities Between Services
- Harvesting summer crops, planting autumn crops, refreshing flower beds, trimming and mulching in the Promise Garden. Work will continue after 11:00 for those who can stay.
- Assembling hygiene kits for the MUST Ministries Hope House.
- Tying blankets for the MUST Ministries Toy Shop.
- Making jewelry gifts for the girls attending Milagro in Guatemala.
