SUMMARY:Thanksgiving Food Drive
DESCRIPTION:Starting Sunday November 5 you can bring donations for the Thanksgiving Food Drive to the Gathering Room. The drive will conclude November 12. \nThis year we will be collecting less perishable fresh produce as well as canned and boxed food. \n\nLess Perishable Fresh Items: \nsweet potatoes\, red potatoes\, white potatoes\, beets\, winter (acorn) squash\, butternut squash\, bulb onions\, and apples \n\nBoxed and Canned Foods: \ncanned fruit\, canned meats\, canned vegetables\, cereal\, oatmeal\, dried beans\, macaroni & cheese\, canned chili\, canned beef stew\, dry pasta\, rice\, peanut butter\, and tomato sauce \n\nAll donations will benefit our mission partner\, the Community Assistance Center\, whose food pantry serves 500 families per month (many every week). \n\nThis food drive compliments the incredible work our Promise Garden team has done growing and sharing over 950 pounds of produce with the CAC just this year!
