In the wake of the devastation brought by Hurricanes Helene and Milton and with time remaining in hurricane season, our community has a unique opportunity to share compassion with those whose lives have been upended by these hurricanes. Lutheran Church of the Resurrection (LCR) has launched “Compassionate Community Response: A Fundraiser for Hurricane Relief,” seeding $20,000 from its mission fund to jumpstart relief efforts.

We hope this gift inspires further generosity from our members, neighbors, and extended community. Imagine the impact if we could double this gift (or more!) and bring real, tangible hope to those in need.

The figure above was updated on November 20, 2024.

As of November 13 we have distributed the funds donated so far to: Inspiritus $14,820, ELCA Lutheran Disaster Relief $7,410, ELCA Southeastern Synod Disaster Ministry $7,410.

Thank you for your generosity!
