Worship

Lutheran Church of the Resurrection offers two worship services as well as education opportunities each Sunday.  We encourage members & guests to plan to arrive 5-10 minutes ahead of time to park and get seated.

Traditional Service8:15 a.m.

The Traditional Service is based on our Lutheran heritage and incorporates a traditional liturgy with hymns led by the organ along with the Celebration Choir. The Word is proclaimed through scripture readings, a children’s message and a sermon presented by Pastor Dave Helfrich.

Praise Service: 9:45 a.m. & 11:15 a.m.

The Praise Service reflects a more contemporary expression of the Lutheran liturgy through music and message. The Word is proclaimed through scripture readings, a children’s message and a sermon from Pastor Dave Helfrich. Our Praise Team shares God’s Word through music with a team of vocalists and instrumentalists including guitarists, pianists, drummers and other percussionists.

Sunday School 9:45 a.m. (September - May)

Each Sunday, we begin the Sunday School hour with "The Gathering", offering adults and children a time to learn from one another and grow in faith together before Sunday School.  The 15-minute, interactive sessions are led by adults and youth and integrate short videos, skits, scripture readings, songs and other activities.

Communion is celebrated weekly at all worship services.  We welcome all people to receive God’s gift of forgiveness and mercy through the nourishment of Holy Communion. The body and blood of Christ is received through bread and wine each Sunday. Grape juice is available at each station. Gluten free wafers are available from the presiding pastor.

Children of all ages are welcome and encouraged to participate in worship. For your convenience, a professionally staffed nursery for children ages 5 and under is available 8:15 a.m. to 12 p.m. in the Family Life Center. A crib room is also located immediately outside the sanctuary.

Special Needs Support

The church and its facilities are handicap accessible. Large print bulletins and assisted hearing devices are available from the ushers. Children's bulletins and crayons are also available.  Look for the Worship Resources sign in the Church Lobby, or ask an usher for assistance.
